First phase of work nearing end at Union Station Depot

Tim Thompson of the New Bern Preservation Foundation says interior woodwork painting on the Union Station Depot is nearly finished and exterior work will start soon. The main current hurdle is securing agreement with the City of New Bern and North Carolina Railroad on right-of-way for the nearby tracks, as the rail line may be closer than the required 17 feet.
