Naomi Carrow Hardison aged 80 of New Bern died Thursday March 26 2020. She was the daughter of Thomas and Leah Stubbs Carrow and longtime employee of Weyerhaeuser Co. after 35 years. She is survived by son Joey and wife Lynn and grandsons Will and Drew along with brothers Ronald and Rosco. Burial is private at Greenleaf Memorial Park and condolences may be given online.

Trooper Dies After Patrol Car Hits Culvert on I 795
State trooper Nolan J. Sanders died Friday evening when his patrol car ran off northbound I 795 near mile marker 19 in Wayne County. The vehicle struck a concrete culvert off the right shoulder at about 7 17 p m, and he was pronounced dead at the scene per a Highway Patrol release.
