Alan Jerome dies. longtime Pleasant Acres member

Alan Roy Jerome died March 24 after a life of service to Pleasant Acres FWB Church and New Bern Christian Academy. A Marine and civil service retiree, he coached youth baseball and volunteered at church and school. Memorial service set for March 30 at Pleasant Acres. private graveside later. He is survived by his wife Shirley Sutton, two daughters, one son, eight grandchildren, and siblings. Donations encouraged to church youth or building fund.
