Former Wheatmore student sentenced on murder solicitation
A 19 year old former Wheatmore High School student, Jacob Thomas Norris of Trinity, was found guilty by a Randolph County grand jury of solicitation to commit murder. Judge William A. Wood sentenced Norris to 58 to 82 months in jail after a trial that began Monday in Randolph County Superior Court. The threats were reported on February 28, 2018, while Norris was a Wheatmore student.
