New Bern man charged in long‑ago child sex crimes
Charles Harrison Rose, 57, of New Bern, was arrested July 29 2020 by Craven County Sheriff and US Marshals Fugitive Task Force on multiple counts dating from 1997 to 2004 involving underage victims as young as 11. He faces felony first degree rape of a child under 13, felony statutory rape, two counts of statutory sex act with a child, and two counts of indecent liberties. Bond set at 750000. He has a Craven County Court appearance July 30 2020.
