Jacksonville crisis center opens to address opioid and mental health needs
The Onslow Craven and Carteret counties led Dix Crisis Intervention Center opened at 215 Memorial Drive on the site of the former Jacksonville Treatment Center. The 16 bed facility aims to provide short term treatment and an alternative to jail for mental health crises and opioid addiction, funded largely by a $2 million Dix Foundation grant and Trillium Health Resources.
