Trump blasts border wall lawsuit linking California rail project
President Donald Trump posted criticism of California leading a multistate suit against his emergency border funding. He linked the wall plan to the high speed rail project, calling it a failed program with massive overruns. The San Francisco to Los Angeles rail cost has surged to 77 billion dollars, far above the 5.7 billion Congress approved for the wall. Governor Newsom warned the rail plan is too costly and slow, proposing a shorter Central Valley segment and new funding for the longer route.
