Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the pole for NASCAR's Daytona 500 with a 194.582 mph lap in his debut for JTG-Daugherty Racing after leaving Roush Fenway. He edged Alex Bowman to top the speed chart as Hendrick teammates Bowman, Elliott, and Johnson filled spots two through four. The rest of the 40-car field will be set by Thursday's qualifying races at Daytona International Speedway. Denny Hamlin was fifth fastest.
