Trials start in April for hog farm nuisance cases
U S District Judge W Earl Britt ordered trials to begin in April in eastern North Carolina hog farm nuisance suits. The test cases involve eight to ten households with complaints about smells noise flies and wind driven manure exteriors. A second case centers on a single plaintiff household chosen by the livestock company with monthly trials to follow until settlements or dismissals occur.
