Economists foresee U.S. recession by end of 2021

A majority of 74 percent of U.S. business economists expect a recession by 2021’s end, with 34 percent predicting a 2021 downturn and 38 percent foreseeing a recession next year. The poll, from the National Association for Business Economics, notes optimism differs from President Trump’s outlook. Consumer confidence has fallen 6.4 percent since July.

Parrott Academy Begins Eighth Grade Year Transition

Haynes Lewis started eighth grade at Arendell Parrott Academy on Monday at 8:15 AM after a summer filled with family trips. She noted that eighth grade is challenging but expects this year to exceed goals. The 2019-20 year brings transitions for students and faculty, including her trips to Italy where she learned Latin and visited Rome landmarks.
