Depot Restoration Aims to Bring New Bern Hub Back to Life
The New Bern Preservation Foundation pushes a phased Union Station Depot revival begun after 2012 leasing deals with N C Railroad and Norfolk Southern. Ground floor work focuses on safety and public use creating a revenue source, with second floor offices and a 1930s WPA mural to be restored, tying historic district pride to the Queen Street corridor.
