Amanda Sawyer embodies community nursing and service
Amanda Sawyer, a Craven County native, serves as medical surgical educator at Carolina East Medical Center while teaching at Craven Community College. She develops hospital and community programs, advocates for stroke care, CPR education, and nurse training, and leads fundraising for Pamlico County sports and youth programs. Her work spans student outreach, hospital grants, Hurricane Florence relief, and youth volunteerism with families active in charity and Angel Tree programs.
