Suspected abuser fired at Woodmen camp near Fort Barnwell

David Robert Short, 47, of Carteret Jones Road, Hili County, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with abusing four minor campers between July 18 and July 22. He was terminated from his supervising post at the Fort Barnwell Woodmen of the World camp, which hosts about 1,200 campers each summer, and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
