Airport seeks second carrier for Craven Regional
Craven Regional Airport remains pursuing a second or even third airline after American Eagle left in December leaving USAir as the sole carrier and Charlotte as the only destination. Midway Airlines talked about Raleigh Durham connections but canceled its deal. ASA Delta connection to Atlanta is being pursued as a stronger option with 30 passenger cabin planes. Airport director John Price says Midway and others have had limited success, but ASA could fit timing ahead of next summer’s Atlanta Olympics.
