Venice DUI charges after two-car crash at faulty light

Police report an accident Friday at the Business 41 Turin Street intersection in Venice involving Charles Miller 54 and Richard Beebe. Miller was charged with DUI after his car allegedly ran a traffic stop and collided broadside with Beebe’s vehicle as officers managed a non functioning signal.

Nokomis man charged with cocaine possession at park

Keven Leach aged 20 of 205 Lakeshore Drive Nokomis was charged at 6 am after officers on routine patrol found his car at Brochard Park with tools inside matching recent burglary items. Two vials believed to contain cocaine were found in his glove box.
