Atlantic City film review with Burt Lancaster in decline
The piece praises Burt Lancaster in Atlantic City as a poignant portrait of aging glory in a Las Vegas like town. Susan Sarandon stars as a hopeful blackjack dreamer while a drug plot and a gangland slaying unfold. Louis Malle’s direction is lauded for its stark American theme and restrained shimmer that fades to a quiet shore.
