Barrier islands face development battle as federal survey begins
In March crews erected over a dozen fibre board sheds on Knight Palm Don Pedro and Little Gasparilla Islands to fit a flood insurance rule. federal photo surveys and legislative input will determine which barrier islands are declared developed and eligible for subsidies.
