Silver Head Legislature expands to Florida with age-based nominees
Florida adopts the Silver Head Legislature after Missouri success where most bills became law. District 8 FMHO President Harry Jennings called for nominations from Sarasota County mobile home parks. Nominees aged 60 plus must reside in the county and may seek votes May 16 at Coast Federal Savings. Five-day session funded by state HRS, venues at Sarasota locations. Jennings touted 37,000 local mobile home residents and aims to enroll 2,000 more FMHO members. The advisory body will advise Tallahassee on older residents needs.
