Venice Sailing Squadron Fourth Spring Race Draws 24 Boats
The Venice Sailing Squadron held race four of its Spring Series on a 12.4 nautical mile course with 24 starters. Moderate seas and light air from the jetty to marker D affected early legs, while a Sunday pace guided the run to marker B and the final reach back to the jetty. Trophy time at Higes Park featured Hood Sails presenting awards to Red Class winner Pearl, with Taxi and Bluebird following. White Class winner Kiki edged Nepida. Blue Class winner Chaser led to Nina in second, followed by Aguila and others. The club also hosts optional Sunday fun races and notes race five set for April 18.
