Greenhouse misadventures in a tiny hydroponic garden
In mid April I delivered a hydroponic unit into a 17 square foot space and planted 12 tomatoes 12 pole beans 3 dwarf corn 2 Crenshaw melons 1 golden zucchini 3 burpless cucumbers 2 squash 2 parsley plus lettuce and beets. Despite rapid early growth the crop overwhelmed the space with a jungle by week four. many plants failed or thrived unevenly and I blamed overwatering. Still I celebrate the first tomato and vow to garden more simply next time.
