Vacation burglars target midsummer months in Florida
FBI statistics show Florida had 164,609 burglaries in 1976 with average losses of 449 dollars per break-in totaling over 73.9 million. The south saw 30 percent of U S burglaries while residential losses reached 63 percent and daytime burglaries rose since 1972. The Insurance Information Institute urges precautions before travel.
