Weekend Venice fishing yields record catches across venues
The Venice area reports a weekend of heavy angling with 16 species landed at Pelican Cove Marina and the fishing pier listing pompano bluefish and numerous snook records. Notable catches include 663-pound dusky shark by Clark Balsinger, 16-pound snook by John Burge, and Wayne Shepherd leading the tarpon youth division with 112½ pounds.
