Sarasota County Charter Board May File Suit Over Budget and Ballot
Jim Devine, head of the Sarasota County Charter Review Board, says the board may sue the county commission over funding and questions the handling of the November 1980 Charter Change ballot. He cites improper advertisement, a court ruling overturning the election, and concerns about legal services and budget control. A vote is planned at the next meeting after a lack of quorum prevented action.
