Beverly Enterprises bid for Venice nursing home denied again
Sarasota County Commission refused to issue low interest industrial revenue bonds for Beverly Enterprises to build a 120 bed Venice nursing home. Beverly urged public benefit, citing aging region and hospital bed shortages, but commissioners stood by the prior denial despite an hour of testimony.
