Local man jailed for third day disorderly intoxication
Police arrested Thomas Morrow 55 for disorderly intoxication after multiple incidents at Bird Bay Plaza and a laundromat. Woman Bitten by Dog on Ibis Drive in Englewood
Mrs. Eula Perkins reports she was riding a bicycle on Monday when a dog owned by Paul Barko chased her and bit her lower left leg causing minor wounds and torn pants. Cpl. Jerry White documented a bite. Barko’s German shepherd had rabies shots last on April 2 1979 and health officials said Mrs. Perkins would be fine unless the dog fell ill or died within ten days.

Nokomis man charged after walkie talkie theft from deputy
Deputy Robert Taylor faced a disturbance at the Bony Bar in Nokomis when a group surrounded him and a walkie talkie valued at 1000 dollars was stolen from his patrol car. Alfred W. Woiki of 908 Albee Rd Nokomis was arrested after witnesses identified him and the device was recovered. The report also notes band equipment theft at Pewter Mug and a separate alleged indecent exposure incident with no evidence found. A tan brown van hit a salon post on Beach Road and fled. the post damage was about 50 dollars and the van remains at large.
