Golf Association Protests Payment Linked to Irrigation
Venice Lake Venice Golf Association paid the City of Venice the third in a seven installment loan totaling 28,571 after losing a court bid to require the payments be tied to a city guarantee for a new irrigation system. The dispute stems from a 1967 contract for nine additional holes and a 1978 revised agreement tied to a $200,000 payment.
