Jewelry store diamond thefts echo a shoplifter pattern
A Hispanic man in a beige suit shopped at Eck's Jewelry in Hamilton Square and a $6,900 diamond ring vanished after he asked to wrap the box and promised to return. A similar ring was circled at another store, with a man fitting the same description. Nearby, a 65 year old woman faced a neighborly dispute over modesty, and three teen girls fled a bank with a single orchid during a daylight robbery.
