Train Strikes Dugger Man in Midnight Incident
Henry Long aged 22 unmarried was struck by Illinois Central train No 52 eastbound in Dugger shortly after midnight Tuesday night of last week and seriously if not fatally hurt. He reportedly had been drinking and wandered onto the track sat down, and was picked up badly bruised. This is the same train that killed Frank Ritter in Linton and Willard Tannehill at Switz City within the past two weeks.

John McMillen a 16 year old miner at mine No 82 of the Consolidated Indiana Coal Company shot himself at his sister Mrs C E Mahan’s Hymera home after returning from work. He was found dying in the kitchen with a revolver nearby and no cause is known for the act. He was the son of Jesse McMillan a farmer near Youngstown.

Kicked by a horse leaves Ray Watson with facial injuries
Graysville reports Ray Watson was kicked in the face by a horse on Friday afternoon. He suffered an ugly three inch gash and a badly bruised face with his jaw nearly dislocated. Dr. Boon treated and sewed the wound. Ray is recovering well and expresses thanks it was not worse.
