Indianapolis Southern Railroad seeks Sullivan crossing franchise

Representatives of the Indianapolis Southern railroad asked Sullivan for a franchise to cross two streets. The line would enter from the southeast with a depot likely on M. K. Coulson property on South Main Street. The board will decide at the next meeting and construction is planned to start around October 15.

W R Nesbit visited Indianapolis last week to review Rural Free Mail Delivery. Petitions for three routes from Sullivan have been pending, with an inspector expected to inspect soon. Inspections are busy, but the routes are anticipated to be established in the near future.
