On the plains Reno holds and Brant and Weir push up the bluffs to bring ammunition to Custer. The 7th Army fights a heavy action with Sioux and Cheyenne around a village as Brant and his men break through toward the crest. Custer accepts Hampton back into service to ride with Calhoun's troop.
