Murray Shields Dies by Suicide in Hamilton Township
James M. Shields, a farmer from the northwest Hamilton township, killed himself Saturday morning about 11 by drinking carbolic acid. The death follows ill health and despondency after his wife’s death a year earlier. He leaves two sons, one infant and one 10 years old.
