Former Cass Miner Ends His Life in Jasonville
Joseph Dudley 39 a former Cass township miner and ex policeman from Jasonville shot himself Friday night in his room ending his life. He left a divorced wife and four children. Dudley moved to Jasonville a year ago and had taken a police job after leaving Gilmour. His divorce three months earlier preceded his despondency over personal troubles and job loss. Relatives from Cass township took his body home Sunday for burial in Antioch cemetery. He was a grandson of the late Joseph Pigg and related to William Powell of Sullivan.

Shelburn man fatally injured in interurban collision
John Van Buskirk of Shelburn was struck by a northbound inter urban car about 6 30 Saturday evening at Shelburn. He sustained injuries including both legs broken and a fractured skull and was taken to Union hospital at Terre Haute. He is about fifty, an old bachelor who lived in Shelburn.
