Agnes Black ten years old was killed by a gun discharged by her nephew Willie Bennett in a Fontanet family yard near the Reliance mine in Shelburn. The weapon reportedly was not loaded and the accident occurred while children played with a 22 caliber gun. coroner’s verdict cited accidental discharge. Dr William C Faught a physician of Farmersburg died at his home Tuesday night after about two years of illness. He was 38, survived by wife and five children, and had been in practice 11 years with former partner Dr T W Kennedy. He was active in local Odd Fellows Knights of Pythias and Modern Woodmen, carrying 2000 life insurance. Remains were sent to Robinson for funeral under Odd Fellows, buried Kirk cemetery.

Local miner Claude Luzader Dies In Mine Accident
Claude Luzader 29, born in the city and son of Mr. and Mrs. Barton Luzader of Indianapolis, was killed at the St. Clair mine near Farmersburg on Wednesday afternoon about 3 oclock. He was crushed by the brow piece as he rode the mine cage, died instantly, and is believed to have tried to jump to safety after noticing a problem. A Philippine War veteran, Luzader had recently lived in Hymera and worked at St. Clair for two months. Funeral services were held Friday at his uncle Ward Hawkins's home, with burial at Palmers Prairie.
