Mrs Nancy J Nichols of Homera Indiana died at home this morning at age 1. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at the residence with burial in Friendly Grove cemetery. She leaves son Alvin of Lewis, four daughters including Sarah Roberts and Jeannettr Reynolds, twenty grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.

Robert Bonard aged 38, boss diver at Vigo Coal Company's Vandalia Mine No 28, died after a slate fall Saturday morning. He was rescued in a dying condition but succumbed within ten minutes due to strangulation from the debris. his jaw was fractured and an artery severed. He recently moved here from Jasonville with his family and leaves a widow and two children. Bonard was related by marriage to Clyde and Ray Letty, local grocers. Funeral held Monday at his residence with burial at Center Ridge cemetery.
