Manslaughter charge filed against Charles Deal in Terre Haute
Affidavits charging 50 year old Charles Deal with involuntary manslaughter were filed in the Circuit Court after Doris Boston 14 was shot and killed during a family fight at Twenty fifth and Dean streets. The incident followed a dog fight and involved William Martin John Bayless and Sidney Metcalf the dead girl’s grandfather who was wounded. Deal has been jailed since May 2.

A Vigo circuit court jury returned a verdict for the T. H. I. E. Traction Company in the damage suit by Norman C. Kintz of Terre Haute over a December 1914 Terre Haute auto streetcar collision. Trial lasted three days with the defense arguing the auto struck the street car.
