Four Hurt as Hudson Limousine Wrecked on State Road
A Hudson limousine overturned in a ditch on the Jasonville state road near the George Clayton home at about 8 pm. Four young people were injured slightly to moderately, including an Anderson girl with a broken collarbone. The driver was a son of Elmer Wyatt of Dugger, with Spinks and two others aboard. They were moved to a local city for care, then sent home. The car suffered heavy damage and was taken to a garage.

McCray Highlights Gains for Indiana Second District
Governor Warren T. McCray told a Bloomington audience that in his first two years the state spent about $1.67 million on schools roads and courts in Indiana's Second Congressional District while local taxes paid $1.19 million. He outlined a three year plan to invest about $5 million in district highways funded by a 2 cent gas tax and higher auto licenses, enabling matching federal funds and substantial road construction including several major bridges and new routes connecting Indianapolis, Bedford, Martinsville, Vincennes, and more.
