Death of Aunt Sarah A. Payne Ends Local Life

Aunt Sarah A. Payne, aged nearly eighty, died last Wednesday after weeks of poor health. Two sons, six daughters and twenty grandchildren survive. The funeral was held Thursday at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Bundy.

Arthur Osborne won first prize in the Bloomingdale Academy annual oratorical contest held last Wednesday evening. He is a student at the academy and the son of Allen Osborne of the county.
