G O P Leader Hays described as a hum dinger
Senatorial portrait of Will Hays as the new G O P national chairman. The piece notes his Indiana rise from precinct worker to state party chair, wartime service, and reputation as a tireless organizer with intense energy. It contrasts his plain, earnest character with political sharpness. Then a wartime letter writing appeal urges sending cheerful missives to soldiers.
