Fire Destroys Gilmore Home in Sullivan Incident
Fire swept the Sol Wolfe property last Friday at two in the morning destroying the Madison Gilmore residence. Mrs. Gilmore and children barely escaped with their lives as flames spread rapidly hindered by late fire response. Otto Krug aided by guiding a hose from a tree saved J M Lang’s house across the street. The Gillmore house left only a lower front shell, and the blaze recalled Sylvan Dell street’s origin tied to Fordyce’s 1880s lot and a legal dispute over the street. Krause's Headache Capsules advertised with price 25c and sold by E E Muehbler.
