Death of Frank Mayfield the well known citizen
Frank Mayfield died last Saturday following injuries from a fall in 1896 while working as a bridge carpenter for the E. and T. H. railroad on the Pirtle bridge between Carlisle and Paxton. Born November 29 1856 in Haddon Township he was 46 and employed in bridge construction for 22 years. Survived by a wife two sons Harry and Paul and a daughter Minnie with brothers and sisters listed. Funeral at his residence on South Court Street conducted by Odd Fellows and Rev J A Carnes with burial at Center Ridge.
