Perry Clark, a Glendora mine engineer, died Sunday afternoon at his home after months with consumption. Funeral held Tuesday at Holiness Christian church led by Rev. Scott Jewell. He belonged to the Masonic lodge at Bicknell. Survived by a wife and three children.

Mrs. Judah Gambill aged S0 years a Cass township native died very suddenly last Wednesday at her son Frank Gambill's home after breakfast. She lived two hours. Butler Retires From Mining After Long Cass Career
Henry A. Butler of Cass retires after decades in coal mining. He sold his interest in the Syndicate Coal Company’s John Walters place, 1-4 mile northeast of Cass, to John McLin and Roy E. Price of Dugger. Butler, a practical coal man and former president, had run a wagon mine for five years and saw a Monon switch added in August 1916. Poor health prompted his retirement.
