Camden New Jersey reports Morton and Boyer, two African American murderers, were sentenced Saturday to be hanged on July 20. Boyer cried while Morton remained composed as the death watch began.
A deadly wreck near Hz Rri spawns eleven deaths and many injuries when the second section of the western express crashes into the first at a deadly speed. Debris blocks tracks as the Westinghouse car is demolished and a mass rescue unfolds.
At 5 30 P M in 89 Sawmill alley Alleghany Mrs Victoria Privet started a fire for supper and poured kerosene oil in the stove causing an explosion. Her husband Charles Privot rushed to aid and was severely burned and is dying. Mrs Privot died within minutes.
A loose truck on a eastbound Wabash fast freight caused a wreck one and a half miles west of Mexico Missouri Friday morning. Eight wheat cars and three empty oil cars toppled into the creek. Two horses were killed and several injured including J W Duncan of Chillicothe. Trains run over the Chicago and Alton to Centralia.
Charley Stanley aged 12 in Westboro Missouri was dragged to death when leading a pony after his foot caught in a chain. The chain tightened, dragging him for over two hundred yards, tearing his clothes and injuring his body and face severely.
In Kalamazoo Michigan on June 27 Henry Linn and Harvey Hoffman were killed by a bolt while sitting beside John Rote who survived. A horse in the barn also died as the lightning struck during a rainstorm two miles south of the city.
At Charlotte near Rochester on June 27 a boat carrying five men capsized after a tow line from the tug Proctor snagged it. Jacob Berger and William Hetzler were lost, their bodies recovered. The report then mentions Frank Hall, a 14-year-old son of Joseph Hall, in Lyon County, Kansas, involved in a cultivator incident.
Reading dispatch reports a mob of about 200 gathered at Berks county jail seeking Peter Buccari’s execution for stabbing Sister Hildaberk of St. Joseph hospital. Buccari, once cared for by the nurse, was moved to the county jail as deputies swore in. The governor would be asked to uphold the law.
Orange county grand jury at Goshen reports after a week of inquiry that no indictments will be issued against those involved in the Port Jervis lynching of Bob Lewis. Judge Culten orders a further investigation next Tuesday.
Washington reports officials reticent about a Dominion proposal for settling canal tolls. Acknowledgement exists but details are unclear. The matter may wait for a new head of the State Department with no information to be released meanwhile.

H R Wolcott of Denver predicts strong western support if nominated, citing Nevada Idaho and Colorado enthusiasm and possible impact on November votes.
