Terre Haute Ind June 20 Deputy State Mine Inspector O Con nor caused the arrest of W H Ford superintendent of the Keystone mine at Shelburn for failure to equip an air shaft. Linton Saloonkeeper Kills Wife in Front Veranda Tragedy
In Linton Indiana George R. Beasley a saloonkeeper killed his wife on the front veranda in the presence of their three children after returning from his saloon. The couple were separated but living together and facing a pending divorce suit. Beasley fired five shots fatally wounding Mrs Beasley and surrendered to officers without resistance.

Former resident Thomas Pritchard dies in Illinois
