Cyclone Ravages York and Turman Township
A mayhem filled cyclone struck Graysville area June 12, killing Henry Rook 60 and Lydia Pinkston 50 while injuring several others in York and Graysville. Homes barns and a hotel were destroyed leaving widespread damage and feared deaths across Turman township along the Wabash river.
Trouble in the Godfrey Family in Shelburn
In Shelburn the Godfrey brothers Charles and Wes fought yesterday morning in a coal company house with no serious injuries or arrests. Saturday night James Smith and George Anderson were fined for assault. Thomas Toms jailed for drunkenness. Thomas Begmett fined for drunkenness. James Goodman, shot in the Dunnville fight, went to Sullivan to post bond after his hip wound.

Four Counts Found Against Thos Dunn in Hymera Area
Dempsy Marshall held an inquest at No 2 school house east of Farmersburg last week and found four indictments against Thomas Dunn who runs a local saloon. The cases moved to Sullivan for trial after a change of venue. Indictments accuse Dunn of selling liquor on Sunday and on Decoration Day.

Storm wrecks farm structures and recalls past cyclones
Frances Kelly's Turman township farm saw seven corn cribs unroofed and a pecan grove ruined when a storm struck after she inspected corn early Friday afternoon. James Kelley suffered fences crops and buildings damaged about three thousand dollars. Otto Krug recalls Mt. Carmel cyclone of 1877 with roof torn off and a shingle lodged in a door. W. W. Horse Thief Caught After Local Stolen Rig Case
Dr Douglass reported his horse and buggy stolen while visiting a patient in Star City. Marshal Shepherd recovered the horse and buggy in Farmersburg and arrested Carl Kendall for larceny. Kendall confessed but was not prosecuted as Dr Douglass chose not to pursue charges.
