Daylight robbery hits Dame Gas Company office
A daytime break in at the Dame Gas Company office opposite the Davis hotel left the safe opened and a wooden strong box emptied of cash and checks. The padlock on the door was found unlocked, suggesting a thief familiar with the safe combination. The amount stolen is estimated in the hundreds, with keys and box access raised as possible pointers.
