Boy Arrested on Larceny Charge in City
Frank Salee 16 of Indianapolis son of Ed Salee is in $200 bond in Justice Scherb court on grand larceny charge. He allegedly took Roy Carrico’s auto from in front of the Christian church Sunday night. Reece Johnson 14 was asked to ride. Salee claimed the car belonged to a friend. Carrico stopped them returning the auto to the church. Johnson was not arrested. Salee has prior trouble in Indianapolis.

Interurban Conductor Buys Farm After Rabbit Diet
Harve Thompson, a Sulli van interurban conductor, says high living costs drive him to eat rabbits killed by his car on night runs between Sullivan and Terre Haute. A Plymouth rock hen perched on a buggy atop Mattix and Foster's harness shop drew a crowd Saturday evening. Rain poured as the hen sat calmly until owner Charles Holston of Glendora arrived and confirmed the hen likely roosted on the rig late Monday. Holston tied the bird and took it home.

Paroled after 18 years in prison for 1899 Merom Station murder
Merom Station man Adams, aged 64, who killed William Eaves in 1899 after a saloon dispute, was pardoned by the State Board of Pardons and will spend Christmas at home. The board noted past convictions, including a 1878 manslaughter case, and cited favorable recommendations from Governor Goodrich.
