While starting a storage battery a gas pocket ignited, burning his arms to the elbow and the back of his neck. He returned home on the 2:53 car and was later treated by Dr. Douglas. the burns are serious but not dangerous.

Fatal Interurban Accident Near Currysville
Andrew Sinders a 75 year old Curry township store operator was fatally struck by a southbound interurban car near Currysville while talking with a friend. The car whistle was not heard as Sinders was nearly on the track. he died shortly after being taken to Shelburn. He is survived by a wife and ten children. Davis loses two large burns in lightning storm
A severe Thursday afternoon storm dumped over two inches of rain on the county. Two barns on the Hunt farm near Davis were struck by lightning and burned with their contents including 450 bushels of seed wheat and 45 tons of hay. Insurance covered the loss. James R. Riggs narrowly escaped serious injury when lightning shocked him as he stood beside a fence at the farm.
