Davis Family Extends Auto Trip From Here to Wisconsin

Flour Mill at Dugger to Move from Pleasantville
Joe Kleusener plans to relocate a 400 bushel capacity steam powered grist mill from Pleasantville to Dugger. The mill will grind meal and feeds and should be operating within three to four weeks after moving. He may rent the old mill building along the railroad or build a new frame structure in a central site. Eli Goodman now operates the Pleasantville mill and will run the Dugger operation after the move. Nearby mills are in Linton and Sullivan.

Williams on trial after grand larceny hearing
Martin V. Williams an insurance agent faced a preliminary hearing in Sullivan county on grand larceny charges for taking a horse and buggy from Carl Knotts. Williams claimed he was drugged and intended to return the rig. He was bound over to the Sullivan circuit court and jailed for lack of bond.

J A Hoseman Fred Reed and Wm Daniels of Merom were en route to Robinson to place Merom Chautauqua ads when the Ford’s clutch failed on a bluff near the Merom ferry. A Dugger case of ptomaine poisoning occurred Friday at noon when Mr and Mrs William Boruffs their children and Mrs John Bland and her two sons were badly poisoned from eating dried beef bought at a local Dugger store. Dr Bedwell treated them and they fully recovered by Saturday morning. A portion of the dried beef was sent to Dr J N Hurty for examination.

Billy Kelly a 12 year old depot town boy and a companion about the same age stole beer from the E T H freight station Saturday evening drank it and became intoxicated. Marshal Willis arrested them and placed them in jail. They were turned out Sunday morning.
