Char L. Davis and W C Jamison sold 174 head of fat cattle to Swift & Company for $15 000 while A W Springer and Sons sold 70 head in the same deal totaling over $19 000 at an average of $90 per head. Big Burly Tramp Invades Curry Farm Chow

Pleasantville Thieves Taken After Mounted Escape
Two horse thieves sought to flee toward Pleasantville with a pair of black horses stolen from Jasper Trimble of Bromer Ind. Constable James Wellington and Squire O’Haver confronted them. after a brief standoff the thieves fled into a yard at Columbus Bough’s residence and were finally captured following a gunfight in which one thief was wounded. The fugitives, brothers Fergusson aged 22 and 24, were arrested by the Washington county sheriff.
