Boys Confess Thefts At Local Stores
Henry Guirl aged 9 and Austin McClure aged 12 confessed to robberies at Muehler's drug store and Long & Warren's hardware store Monday morning after arrest by Chief Henry Smith. They admitted stealing small change, five pocket knives and a pipe, and attempted to force the cash drawer. They are jailed and likely to be sent to reform school. Entrance was gained by breaking a rear window.

Death Claims Pioneer Resident of Sullivan County
Nancy Ann Gobin McKinley, 78, died Thursday evening at her daughter Mrs. C J Sherman’s home on North Court street. Born April 26 1834 in Loudenville Ohio she came to Sullivan in 1851 with the Smith and Barnhart families. She married Russell McKinley March 1 1855 and lived in Sullivan all her life. Funeral Saturday at the Sherman residence led by Rev Geo W Titus and Rev P C Lisman with burial at Center Ridge cemetery.

Rosa Boatright Lorang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Boatright, died at her Spokane home. Flood delays kept communications and travel plans from reaching Sullivan promptly. Born in Sullivan, she was about forty five and formerly ran a millinery business before moving to Spokane in 1909. Her sister Mrs. Frank Douthitt resides here. Her brother Fred Boatright, in Cordele, Georgia, was notified but delayed by floods.
